Brian joined Call Engineering in 2001.  Prior to that he worked in the wood truss industry designing wood trusses for three years.  His knowledge of wood construction has resulted in innovative solutions in numerous complex wood-frame buildings.  His design experience also includes CMU and steel structures.  In addition, Brian has extensive design experience in high snow load design.

An important factor in the success of numerous projects has been Brian’s ability to work well with contractors during construction administration.  His proactive approach to potential construction issues has been noted by several contractors as being instrumental in avoiding change orders and project delays.

An active member of the Structural Engineers Association of Idaho, Brian has served as President of that organization for two terms and a Board member for over ten years.

Outside of the office Brian and his wife run for adventure and physical fitness.  Recent runs include the Portland Water Front, Steens Mountain Wilderness, Oregon Coast Beaches, Midwest river trails in Indiana and Ohio, and, of course, the Boise River Green Belt system.
